Taken with a Canon 650D with 300mm Lens Manual Mode F/13 at 1/250 ISO 200.
Most exposure meters can't handle the small exposure area that most standard lenses can achieve, so unless you have a super-telescopic lens that can fill the moon, switch to manual mode and then take a sequence of shots adjusting the various settings until you get a result.
I then processed this through Photoshop to slightly accentuate the sharpness and contrast.
Mine is 300 and I walked through the settings...Our settings are almost exactly the same, in fact, except for the F...my 300 only goes to 5.6. So I think that's part of it.
